Travel has been a meaningful part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up, my parents were big travelers- always jetting off somewhere and there experiences they shared with me when they came home have stayed with me. They’re a huge part of why I love helping others plan their own getaways today. There’s nothing better than knowing I played a part in creating someone else’s “remember when?” moments.
I’m also a pediatric medical assistant (for over 23 years now), and caring for people is just who I am. That same compassion comes through in my work as a travel specialist. When you book with me, you’re not another file in a system — you’re someone I truly want to take care of. I plan every trip with the same attention and heart that I’d put into a vacation for my own family.
Speaking of family, I’ve been married to my husband for almost 20 years, and we have a wonderful teenage daughter who keeps us on our toes. They’ve both been such a big part of my love for travel and my belief that these shared experiences really matter. When the three of us travel together, one of my favorite things is seeing the world through my daughter’s eyes — the excitement, the curiosity, the “wow, there’s so much out there!” moments. It’s a reminder of why exploring new places is such a gift. And meanwhile, my husband and I have our own tradition… finding wine to enjoy everywhere we go! There’s nothing better than discovering a new favorite bottle in a different part of the world — there’s just so much variety out there waiting for us.
In August 2021, my husband, parents, and I finally took a river cruise — a trip we had delayed more than once because of COVID. I’m so grateful we went, because it ended up being the last trip I ever took with my dad. Losing him nine months later changed my perspective even more. It reminded me how important it is not to keep waiting for “someday.” If you want to go somewhere, see something, or make a memory… do it.

Heather brings a lifelong passion for exploration and an incredible breadth of global experience to Dawn2Dusk Adventures. With a Master’s degree in Choral Conducting and years spent living in Egypt, Scotland, and Germany, she has developed a deep appreciation for culture, people, and meaningful connection — qualities that shine through in every trip she plans.
She has traveled extensively across Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Korea, England, Italy, France, Switzerland, and Spain, and has sailed on numerous ocean voyages, including transatlantic cruises. Heather’s expertise lies in designing travel experiences that beautifully blend comfort, authenticity, and discovery.
Growing up in a U.S. military family meant moving often — a lifestyle that sparked her adaptability, curiosity, and love for adventure. Today, she uses that background to help clients navigate the world with confidence and joy.
When she isn’t planning dream vacations, Heather enjoys spending time with her two grown children and her two beloved cats. Her favorite escapes include a quiet island off the coast of Maine and the breathtaking beauty of Tasmania.
