Do I need confirmed ancestry before planning this kind of trip?
You do not need a completed family tree, but you will need to identify the cities, towns or regions you want to visit. Dawn2Dusk Adventures does not research where your ancestors lived. Once you provide the locations, we can plan how to reach them and incorporate them into your larger journey.
Can Dawn2Dusk Adventures research my family tree or locate relatives?
No. Dawn2Dusk Adventures does not perform ancestry research, search historical records, locate relatives or arrange personal family connections. You will handle that research and make those connections. We can coordinate flights, accommodations, transportation—often including a private driver—and ideas for experiences while you are there.
Can a cooking class be part of a heritage journey?
Possibly. Every city, town and region offers different opportunities, and cooking classes or other cultural activities are not available everywhere. In some places, the meaningful experience may simply be walking through an ancestral town, visiting an important location or spending time with a distant relative you contacted. Once we know the destination, we can explore what activities may be available.
Can we combine heritage experiences with a cruise or guided tour?
Yes. A private pre- or post-trip stay can add ancestral towns, records, local guides or family-focused experiences to a river cruise, ocean cruise, rail vacation or guided journey.
